clash summer photography challenge

So, if you follow any of my social media, you'll already know that I have been playing amateur model for a number of years now. It's still an interesting turn of events for me personally, as if you'd asked me even five years ago if I thought I'd be modeling with some regularity at my age I would have laughed in your face. However, this strange new hobby has brought me a creative outlet that combines a great deal of my interests and passions, and I'm grateful for each and every opportunity to basically play dress-up and have some cool images to share for it.

One of the events I participated in recently was in conjunction with a local boutique, Clash, and their fashion shows (which you can see me in here) -- but a new take. In lieu of the summer runway show, a great bunch of us dressed up and took to the street in a photography competition sponsored by Dayton Most Metro. The jist of it is that you, the audience, get to vote on your favorite images from each set, and those photographers will win some really cool things, including having their photos featured on the gallery side of Clash next month.

You can check out the article all about it here and scroll down to the Wizard of Oz theme link to find my Glinda-inspired look by Clash, and if you feel so compelled, vote for your favorites. I'm looking forward to the next events with Clash in the fall, as well as a number of shoots I have lined up in the next few weeks.

If you're curious about all these shenanigans, I finally built a page here dedicated to this bizarre and creative pursuit -- go check it out as I'm adding new sets practically daily. After all, they say a picture is worth a thousand words, right?
