Because Ohio and global warming, it actually felt like autumn a few mornings ago when I had a shoot scheduled with my friend Jason. We were working on a street style shoot and he requested I wear this dress, but it was a little chilly and rainy for just a summer dress (it wasn’t that kind of shoot, though lord knows I’ve built a reputation for being the girl who gets in the water, ha) so I … me’d it up a bit.

I get teased quite a bit at work for not wearing colors — it’s all in good fun, but more often than not as photographers have approached me with shoots, they ask if I have things in color … which I usually don’t because #allblackeverything is life. So when Modcloth announced their outlet sale I jumped on the chance to grab up a couple of things I’d had my eye on (one of which I’ve been stalking for yeaaaarrrrrssss).

And now I own a yellow dress even though a few years ago you wouldn’t have caught me dead in yellow.

You can take a peep at the shoot I did with Jason here. And I’m looking to punch up my portfolio with more street style/fashion sets, so let me know if you’re a photog looking to do the same!
