Sometimes for the events at my workplace, we’re encouraged to dress up in theme with the event at hand. This particular day, the event was a ballet based on the story of Dracula … and while I likely could have figured something vampiric out from my closet, I decided to just go full (work appropriate-ish) witch instead.
And then, it started to rain, which if I’d thought ahead more about trying to take these photos would have actually been very cool and moody had I set up somewhere slightly different, but I’m often nabbing these about five minute before I have to leave to get wherever I’m going, so that was a little bit of a bummer.
Admittedly, this is also one of those outfits I was less sure about, mostly because I realized I have no less than seven faux leather skirts of various lengths and styles and I’ve been wearing them with quite some frequency … so I struggled a little to figure out ways to style them slightly differently (and I mean slightly) for an evening work shift than what I would, say, if I were just wearing this out on a Thursday night or something. There is 100% a different way I would wear this skirt that I’m mostly dying to put together, but I have to figure out how and when and where exactly I can wear it.
Until then, hi, welcome to Salem, tarot readings are at midnight, watch out for the cats.
