So the chances of me getting reprimanded for this set at work are pretty high.

But on my break between day and evening shifts the light was just so amazing and the building was practically empty and since getting brave earlier this week I started carrying my little flexible tripod in my work bag so I walked over to the technically “public” portion of the greater lobby and went for it.

Besides, during my evening shift some kids came in to take Homecoming pictures and despite there being strict rules regarding (professional) photography on the properties, security just strolled right on by their posse so I mean … either way this will likely be the only time I nab selfies at work like this.

Kind of wish I’d worn a more exciting outfit for the occasion, but I think the light makes up for it.

Between the sharp weather change, the unpredictability of the climate of interior of the buildings, the regular day shift plus the performance in the evening, and a medical flare-up, something simple and comfortable while still being passable as presentable was what I needed to get through my day. This maxi dress has yet to fail me. Plus it feels like basically a giant t-shirt (WITH POCKETS!!) so it’s a win-win in my book.
